First off anything you want to do online you’ll need to make sure that it’s your only focus. Don’t be an “opportunity chaser”. Decide on one way you want to make money, and stay focused on it.

Second, you’ll need a plan to start your business.

For instance, when I came online I knew that I wanted to create something that would bring in a nice income, and something I wouldn’t have to spend every waking moment on.

I decided that promoting recurring affiliate programs would be the way to go.

So, here’s what my plan looked like:

1. Find 3-5 affiliate programs that pay recurring commissions.

2. Take the first one and setup a sales system to promote it. (I also created a plan for my sales system.)

3. Drive traffic to my sales system, and see how the program converts.

4. As soon as the first program is making money create autopilot traffic streams to keep building my income.

5. Start over with the second affiliate program, and keep going until all recurring affiliate programs are making me money.

6. Spend a few hours a day making sure traffic is going into all systems, and push more traffic to make more money.

Now there was some work that had to go into this, but with this plan I accomplished a recurring income that takes very little work each week to keep going.
